Beer was the invitation. Bitcoin was the discovery.
Established in 2024 after an idea shared at Bitcoin Amsterdam, Beer of Satoshi turns a familiar moment into a first hands-on Lightning experience.
A question shared over a beer.
At Bitcoin Amsterdam 2024, a group of Bitcoiners asked whether a physical product could make people curious about Bitcoin without turning the moment into a lecture. Block 865,028 marks the beginning of that project.
The answer became a German lager with a sealed QR code beneath every cap: drink first, discover sats second.

Make the first Lightning moment feel human.
A bottle can travel to a table where a wallet tutorial never would. The reward under the cap gives someone a reason to scan, install a Lightning wallet and receive bitcoin for the first time.
Genesis is the original 4.9% German lager. Zero extends the same hidden-reward experience to an alcohol-free release.
See how it works
A roadmap measured in shipped work.
Three priorities keep the plan useful: sell and distribute Genesis, deliver Zero, and publish evidence that the reward and impact commitments are working.
Put Genesis in more hands
Sell the current Genesis edition, build qualified retail and event partnerships, and make supported shipping destinations clearer before customers reach checkout.
Produce and fulfil Zero
Confirm the final alcohol-free product specification before production, keep preorder customers informed, and begin fulfilment in the planned shipping window.
Make progress verifiable
Improve the scan-and-claim flow, maintain public claim proof, and report how the 2.1% commitment supports Bitcoin development and community initiatives.
Last reviewed: July 2026. Dates are planning targets and will be updated when production or fulfilment information changes.
The 2.1% commitment.
Beer of Satoshi commits 2.1% to Bitcoin development and community initiatives. Allocations and project updates will be published here so the commitment can be followed over time.
